The Answer to All Your Questions

The answer to all your questions is in different questions…

We all have many questions that we want to be answered. All the whys, hows, and whens that stroll through our minds on a daily.

Our mind is full of questions about ourselves, about others, about the world we live in…

Why did that happen?

Who am I really meant to be?

Why is my life the way it is?

Questions are the foundation for our reality. For what we think, we put out into the world through the vibrational energy of those thoughts.

Our questions work in the same way. Whenever we ask a question we are automatically going to work to find the answer — whether consciously or unconsciously.

With this being the case our questions also play a vital role in our mental awareness and perspective. It is the conversations within your mind that create the domino effect for what you may experience on the outside.

Now, it is important to become aware of the questions you ask for they play an important part in your perspective on life. However, I will not tell you to stop asking yourself certain questions.

In fact, I will never suggest to stop thinking certain things or to stop asking yourself questions that particularly lead to more unwanted outcomes in the external world.

Rather, I would suggest allowing yourself to actually think about them. BUT to become an active observer of those thoughts.

What does that mean?

It means to not just let the thoughts take control of you but to be aware that the thoughts are occurring and then ask yourself a different set of whys, hows, and whens.

So, in short, ask yourself questions about your questions. Be a mental investigator, take back control over your mind by being curious as to why you ask certain questions and where they come from.

Not only will this shift the pattern of questions you usually ask yourself but it will also do these things for you:

  1. Decrease pressure on yourself to think differently
  2. Take your power back over your own thoughts
  3. Determine if your thoughts and questions are actually valid or if they are coming from a place of fear
  4. Rewire your thinking process
  5. Create different energy to put out into the world
  6. Change your perspective on various things internally and externally
  7. Help you become more connected to yourself
  8. Mitigate any present or future victim mentality

These are just some benefits of many. But the point is that the questions you ask yourself are not bad because they hold insight into what you are needing and what you need to pay attention to. That is why it would be unhelpful to push them away.

Like all things in life, they hold wisdom and carry a lesson for our growth. Asking different questions can help you uncover that purpose and then allow you to slowly shift your questions over time. Of course, this takes a lot of practice — it is something I still practice becoming aware of.

Here are some questions you can ask about your questions/thoughts:

  1. What is this really about?
  2. When did I start thinking this? What triggered it?
  3. Have I thought of this before? When?
  4. What rules do I have about ___ (what you are thinking about)?
  5. What is the meaning I have given to ___ (what you are thinking about)?
  6. What is the lesson in this?

Lastly, remember that you do not have to have all the answers either. Sometimes, we do not have the answers right away and therefore, it is more about a practice of letting go and being kind to yourself through the process you are going through.

While I encourage this inquisitive process there is also a point where it may not be in your best interest to ask them simply because you may not be in a place to uncover the answers quite yet.

At this point, find compassion for yourself and flexibility with your mind. Surrender to the process and when it is time to know the answers it will come.

That will be up to you to feel out…
