5 Reminders That Life is Meant to be Lived not Survived
So many people go through life with the mindset that as long as they can just get through the next day they will be okay. That all they need to do is survive to get by.
However, what kind of life is one where you are constantly living in survival mode?? Where you are living because you have to live to survive and not because you are enjoying life?
When we go through life in the mindset of just surviving we lose sight of everything that makes life so precious.
Life is not meant to be survived it’s meant to be lived to the fullest. Living life to the fullest means being in the present, not taking your loved ones for granted, working hard for your dreams, and going along whichever path you are meant to find your purpose, not being a victim of your life but using its challenges to your advantage, and not giving up on yourself.
So with that being said, here are 5 general reminders as to why life is meant to be lived rather than survived:
- When you live through life you can enjoy the small sweet moments which will provide you with more joy than a million dollars.
- When you only focus on surviving life you put yourself in a constant state of stress and worry as opposed to living life that will bring joy, love, and fulfillment.
- When you live you won’t miss out on the most important moments in your life and the life of other people around you.
- To bring your attention to living life will increase the positive energy you put out into the world which will also increase the possibility of that being mirrored back to you in better life circumstances.
- Everything that happens to you is a result of your own wishes. If you wanted to feel happier you will be presented with an opportunity to feel happier which does not always come in the most desired way. However, to live rather than survive means to accept the opportunities as they come and still be willing to trust the process.
The questions you ask yourself about life and the way you answer them will likely be a tell as to whether you are living or surviving.
If you are surviving you can shift that by doing more of what you love, put an end to putting off things that are important to you, connecting more with others, working on understanding the reason for your circumstances rather than fight them, and address the things that bring you the most pain.
